What is the Collective Noun for Gingerbread Men?

On Saturday 5th November, 400 Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the UK gathered at the Telford International Centre for our On-Stage local event. We gather to celebrate our achievements from the Stampin’ Up! year that ended on October 31st, and to look forward to the next 12 months – in particular the Spring/Summer brochure and Sale-a-bration. When Stampin’ Up! demonstrators gather – we ‘swap’ cards, gifts and ideas. While wandering my local supermarket, I saw these cute little gingerbread men and knew they would make the perfect gift!

All of our gift and cellophane bags are food safe – meaning packaging gingerbread men or other tasty things are easy with Stampin’ Up!

You can find them on page 176 of the Annual Catalogue. It was the 2” cellophane bags (141703) I used for this project – a barging at £2.75 for 50! I unleashed my creative side, creating tags to accompany the gift. I started off with an A4 sheet of Whisper White, cutting vertically down the centre (10.5cm) and then cut these into 2” strips for the base of the tags. The Scalloped Tag Topper Punch (133324 £21) was all that was needed to turn the rectangles into tags.

Stamping the sentiment “wishing you a season as sweet and joyful as the friendship we share” from the Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp Set in Real Red Ink started to create a festive feel.  The paper I added to create the background of the tag was from the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper collection. This was cut to 2” by 2.5”. I added a 1cm by 2” strip of Real Red Cardstock and attached it to the white stamped tag.

Do you think it looks better underneath or on top?

Finally, I stamped a whole load or nom, nom of gingerbread men and added them on Stampin’ Dimensionals to the tags! The gingerbread men were stamped in Crumb Cake from the Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp Set and cut out with the coordinating Cookie Cutter Punch. I handed these out at On- Stage Local event, and got loads of compliments – they were really well received.

I also handed out goody bags that contained gingerbread men in our giant (6” x 17”) Gusseted Cellophane Bags to my Team the {Awesome} Arrows. They contained drinks and snacks to keep their energy levels up and a re-usable mug  covered with arrows and a fab sentiment – “Follow your Dreams”.

So that’s gifts for demonstrators, gifts for team members…what about you?
