Introducing the Stampin’ Up Emerald Envy Ombre Stampin’ Pad…
Our Ombre Stampin’ Pads have been designed to make creating easy. It has dark ink on one end fading to light on the other. It’s five inkpads in one, and the central colour is the true Stampin’ Up! Colour. The Ombre Stampin’ Pad is now available in five colours – Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry, Calypso Coral, Basic Black and my favourite : Emerald Envy. It’s priced at £8.25 and is item number 141845.
Don’t forget that the colour coordination across product lines means I can combine images stamped with my ombre inkpad perfectly with all Emerald Envy items we stock.
When I was given this month’s card sketch from Stick it Down, I was so pleased. It has an ombre background and was the perfect excuse to use my new purchase. I didn’t want to break open the Christmas stamps yet so opted for a butterfly theme.
The background was created using the butterflies from Perpetual Birthday Calendar and the butterfly in the foreground is the larger from Watercolor Wings. I started with the darkest shades at the top of the background so that the darker shades of the statement butterfly would stand out.
Hint: When creating an ombre background – start in the middle and work outwards so you don’t run out of room to fit the full spectra in.
The card was finished with Tip Top Taupe cardstock, textured with the Seaside Embossing Folder, and cut using the Banners Framelits. I also stamped the butterflies body in Tip Top Taupe ink. The sentiment comes from Sunshine Sayings and it was really easy to use the Emerald Envy central section of the inkpad to get the perfect shade.
This is one of the cards we will be making in our September card class. It’s always great to welcome new faces, and everyone is really friendly. The class is on 27th September at 8pm. It costs £10 or is FREE if you place a Stampin’ Up! order on the evening of £35 or more. If you can’t make the class, but would like the kit we use – drop me a message and I can pop one in the post for you. If you’d like full details of the items I used, or would like to purchase them please get in touch or head to my Stampin’ Up! shop.
